Simple Thanksgiving Prayer for Kids
Gratitude is the theme of Thanksgiving! It’s the time to remember all the big things and small things we are thankful for. If you want to start a thanksgiving prayer for kids, here are simple prayers you can share with your children everyday.
Every night before we go to bed, our boys take turns to say a thank you prayer no matter how short or simple it is. We start with, “Let’s put our hands together, close our eyes and let us pray.” Then we let them say what are they thankful for the day.
Thanksgiving is a time where family gathers around the table to be thankful for a year-round of blessings. But gratitude should be a daily practice especially for children. Let’s teach them to appreciate blessings by saying thank you to God.

We need to start teaching kids the value of gratitude early. Thanking God should not only be on Thanksgiving or birthdays. In fact, everyday is a reason to be thankful for. There is nothing so big or small to God as long as we thank Him for everything He has blessed us.
“Do not worry about anything. But pray and ask God for everything you need. And when you pray, always give thanks.”
